Southern Vermont College is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach composition and writing. The successful candidate will possess strong credentials in Composition and Rhetoric. The teaching responsibilities include four courses per semester. Other expectations include appropriate scholarship and professional development, academic advising, mentoring majors, and committee work. Minimum requirements include a master's degree in English or English education and college-level teaching experience, particularly in composition and writing. A doctorate in English or English education is preferred. Desired qualifications include a commitment to excellence in teaching writing; varied pedagogical methods; well-developed teamwork and communication skills; and integration of technology into the classroom. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
